Well, first things first, let’s talk about the legalities. If this is your first sailing trip, you should be well aware that there are some mandatory legalities which are quite boring, but are necessary. You need to abide by these things. You might actually end up running into some problems if you do not fill out and fulfil all of the legislation and, it might even put an end to your wonderful summer vacation plans. You need to keep in mind that you should reach at all of the legalities when you are doing so.
1. Firstly, you should never forget your identity cards and your documents. You will need a boat registration certificate, and you will need a license to drive or operate the board, if you are doing so yourself. If you are hiring a captain, you need to make sure that he is thoroughly vetted and qualified for the job.
2. Make sure that you have a fishing license if you are planning on fishing. You need to make sure that you have licences of both countries, if you are travelling internationally.

6. You should also make sure that you pack some sunscreen, sunglasses and Chapstick. You need to be protecting yourself from the sun, because you are directly going to be under the sunlight, if you are going to be hanging out on the deck of the boat.
7. Make sure that you pack a comfortable shoes. You need non-slippery shoes and slippers because they are definitely a lifesaver. Boats will have slippery surfaces. You wouldn’t want to slip, do you?
